A technical team from both the County headquarters and the sub-counties met at Saku Guest House for a consultative engagement to discuss water governance landscape and updates on Natural Resource Management (NRM).

The meeting was presided over by the Chief Executive Committee Member for Water, Environment, Natural resources and forestry Hon. Grace Galmo and attended by Chief Officer Water Mr. Galma, Chief Officer Environment Miss. Pauline and Chief Officer for Natural Resources Mr. Shelkh Abdulahi, Managing Director for MARWASCO and representatives from Directorate of Legal Services, Directors, Sub-County water officers and Members of BRRT.

The discussion centered around the ongoing reviews of Water policy and legislative framework with a view to realigning the existing policies to the provisions within the Water ACT, 2016 and WASREB Guidelines for Asal and underserved areas.
